This poem of mine seems too fitting not to share this week. Enjoy!
Thanks Giving
I am thankful for
heavy rains
that have made us look like gardeners.
For make-a-wish flowers
that have sprung up
as fast as my wishes;
I have never thought them weeds.
For two naughty cats
who get underfoot
as often as they keep me on my toes.
For friends as dependable
as the day’s end.
For family tumultuous,
scattered like stray acorns,
gathered yearly.
For this house,
more than material,
more than design.
And for you, my love,
always for you.

I love this so much, Annie — so glad you posted it. And while we’re talking about giving thanks, I’m very thankful for getting to know you better this year. What an enrichment to my life. Thank you.
Aw, you’re the sweetest. Thank you, Julia! I feel the same way. <3
Lovely, Annie. Both the poem and you.

Made me think of my own THREE crazy cats! Beautiful, Annie. Loved the romantic last verses, “And for you, my love, / always for you.” 🙂
Three is even better than two!! And thank you very much. 🙂

You too, Traci! (belatedly)
