Sometimes when I have a piece of work published, or when I have a guest post up elsewhere, I’m tempted to skip blogging that week. I hate the idea of fatiguing my followers, taking up readers’ inboxes, etc. Since this week I’ve had both, I’m going to keep today’s blog short and fun, because I don’t know about you guys, but I could use some smiles.
First things first, if you haven’t already, check out the info on how to read my latest publication “Death’s Favorite Pet” at DarkFuse!
Also, if you’re a writer on Twitter and you missed it, my latest post for Writer Unboxed is “Everything You Really Need to Know About Twitter.”
Finally, the random. And the theme of today’s random is: cats. Because I like cats.

Congrats again on your short story!!
Thanks Traci!
Just watching the guy petting the lions made me afraid. Yes, they seem very friendly, but…Yikes!
Agreed!
Those were awesome! My mom heard something about cats not feeling love on the news. She wanted to tell them if they’d seen me with my Max, they wouldn’t have come to that conclusion. I get cat hugs and kisses all the time.
🙂 Me too!
Thanks for the links to the story and the WU piece, too — I’ve been snowed under (quite literally) and am catching up now… off to read!
OMG… Annie – you know that I loved the cat videos. I think the ‘engineering’ one made me laugh the most. And the lion hugs — oh my! Off to read your Twitter post and check out your poetry! Thanks for this ‘little bag o’ random.’
That was my fave too!
How great is it that you get published frequently enough that you have a standard reaction to it! 🙂 Kudos!
Heh, thanks Patrick. That’s due to the poetry; a poem here and a poem there really adds up!
Any day is better with the addition of LOLCatz. 😉
Congrats again and I’m with you– I live in fear of fatiguing readers on the blog, Twitter, and everywhere. Maybe it’s because I’m so easily fatigued so I’m sort of projecting. It’s good to have that awareness though!
Well at least I’m not the only one! I get fatigued too, Nina, so I’m sure that’s why I worry about it.
